Prairie’s Edge Development Corporation is seeking summer students for the 2025 lake season (May to September) at Sunset Beach at Lake Diefenbaker.

Spend your summer outside at the lake: friends – sunshine – fresh air – tan – beach – exercise

Students will engage in outside physical work. Responsibilities of the position include:

     • Tree planting

     • Tree maintenance (weeding)

     • Running irrigation system

     • Mowing grass on zero-turn mower

     • Wipper snipping

     • Harrowing (on quad)

     • Spraying (on quad)

     • Other miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to:

          o Sweeping

          o Painting

          o Garbage pick-up

          o Basic equipment maintenance

          o Little Free Library organization

The summer student maintenance worker is a full-time position with 40 hours per week for May, June, July, and August. Students will have flexibility in determining their own personal schedule to comprise 40 hours. For example, students may choose to work four 10-hour days to enjoy a three-day weekend.

For serious applicants who are not local to the Sunset Beach at Lake Diefenbaker area (an hour and a half south of Saskatoon), onsite accommodations may be provided.

Students will work in a tight-knit team and receive hands on training pertaining to the above responsibilities that will allow them to succeed independently. We encourage students to apply alone or with friends, who are in secondary or post-secondary education of all fields.

Wage will be based on experience and skill set.
